The "It's a bit of friggin' dirt" tagline was my standard response to patriotism at the time. I saw patriots and nationalists as people who had a childish need to belong to something bigger than them, because they lacked the intelligence and imagination to develop an identity of their own. Of course, I've grown "the fuck" up, since then. |
