Also, this one was stolen from a book called "Oi, Robot", which is a 90's book containing the best entries for competitions in an American story paper called Fantasy and Science Fiction, from the 70's and 80's. This particlar one was for sci-fi themed "Burma Shave" ads, which is one name for those signs that are put along a road, each containing a little bit of a message. Milliways itself is, of course, from Hitch-Hiker's Guide. I'd only just discovered it then, due to the publicity because Douglas Adams had just died. |
