This one provoked a fair bit of comment on the Smallwood Facebook page. Especially the use of the term "Cultural Marxism". People threw around the classist slur "conspiracy theorist" an awful lot. Only weeks before drawing this, I would have called anyone who used phrases like "Cultural Marxist" a crazed conspiracy theorist. I grew up fast in 2015, a lot of us did. Actually I'd very nearly made the dragon black and put a "Socjus" logo on it, I only did the cultural marxism one because I had a bunch of red markers I wasn't going to use. Some of the things I had the different heads saying were, at the time, made satirically extreme for comic effect. Nowadays they seem almost quaint, don't they? I had a "friend", now more of a vague acquaintance, who literally bought a Tyranid army and just rattlecanned the whole lot bright pink, a few years later! |
