Review In the same building as U.N. Osaka Nazdrowie, but on floor 10. It's pretty expensive. Even makes Room Mania look reasonable! Luckily when I went some dude was buying everybody tequila shots. His bill was over a "man" and he was still going strong. Anyway, when I went there were 3 Swedes, 3 Yanks and an Australian-Filipino. The Yanks said they always tell people they're from New York, "to avoid association with the other 80% in the middle of the country". Delightful. Anyway some Japanese people showed up later but I didn't get to talk to them. This also has a charge to take an instant photo with the staff, and a seperate price to buy the staff drinks. Seems like a cross between a half-maid-cafe like Mofuru and a "proper" Otaku bar, with zillions of anime figures and staff who actually want to talk about anime. |

Getting There Go north from Nipponbashi Subway station, over the river, past Dotonbori and it's on the left up there. In a tall, white building where the directory of bars / businesses is quite far inside and hard to see from the street. I nearly walked past and I knew where I was going! Keep your eyes on your map. Or watch this!

Details Alcohol system is ¥1200 per half hour AND ¥500 per drink. Come back Room Mania, all is forgiven! They have a ¥1500 per hour and all-you-can-drink soft drink system. |

In Conclusion Not all that. I guess it was decently fun being able to speak English with the gaijin. Also they were all tourists so I could tell them about off-the-beaten-track places in Osaka. But that was just that one night. So far, based on one visit to each, you're better off going down a floor and visting U.N. Nazdrowie. |
