General Info:

The "straight man" of Felney, who is gay (ha ha haaa). He works out, is well toned and generally beautiful, he also likes some stereotypically gay stuff, like club dance music. But he has an identity of his own, too. Mike is even persuading him to like classic cars and splatter movies!

He is generally found making smart-arsed ripostes to Mike's smart-arsed comments about stories in the paper. He is more left wing than Mike, but the two are still in a friendly middle ground. He works, sometimes from home, on some up-it's-own-arse e-marketing tripe. But gets quite a bit of money for doing it. He's basically the one keeping the "Felney household" afloat, and keeping Mike in giggle water and rusting metal.

Character Origin:

The very first idea I had for Felney was for a gay guy to be beaten up by a screaming woman, because he'd said "gay" in front of her daughter, and she considered it a swear word. And she's not even Russian. So I needed a gay character! My mum knew a gay guy at her work called Adrian, but I'd misheard it as Aaron, so called him that. As he was gay, he had to be "fashionable", but as I was a "FUCK THA FASHION-ISM, UP THA FUCKIN PUNX!" anarchist at the time, I knew nothing about fashion. On the college bus, I saw a well-toned guy, wearing a thick white 'vest', which was briefly fashionable, with a 'pad' of heavily-gelled black hair, spiked at the front. So I based Aaron on him. Even though this was Cambridge Regional College, so it was far more likely that the guy in question went out "queer hunting", than cruising.

Little Known Fact:

He might also have been called Adrian, after my mum's friend, but I had a brainwrong when I was making the strip, and totally forgot the name. I only remembered it started with "A". Also I never met him so he was probably absolutely nothing like Aaron.
