This is one of only two or three strips that survives from the early era of Cart Wars. This is actually a scan I made ages ago to put on Deviantart, the actual paper is on the other side of the world! Anyway as it's a bit of a mess, I should perhaps explain what's happening.

This was still in the stage where Cart Wars had factions, and the "goodies" are on a training run somewhere when a "rut" in the road makes their carts crash. It's then suggested they initially thought the first crash was "driver error". They only have crappy old soapbox carts left that aren't wrecked (these carts appeared in some of the very first Cart Wars strips, by the time of this one they've "upgraded their technology"). They then go to the "actual race", thinking of the much-better carts the enemy will be driving, and duly lose. Later on they've built some new, even better carts (which the rut somehow isn't wrecking any more), with VR-type helmets and peashooter machine guns powered by electric air pumps. Somehow this peashooter is able to smash up the wood and bend the metal axles of the last remaining enemy cart in the next race, and the goodies win! The plane at the end was one of the first Cart Wars planes I designed. Originally the planes were meant to just be for "reconissance", but before much longer Cart Wars evolved into air combat, and it all got a little ridiculous with 3-mile long airships and whatnot.
