In this universe, the Roman Empire used the steam engine created by Hero of Alexandria to bring about the Industrial revolution over a thousand years early. The Romans eventually conquer and "romanise" the entire world, are the first people in the Milky Way to develop FTL travel, and build an empire that spans a galaxy. The planets in the galaxy are the same as in the Gamma universe, as are the parts of galactic history that happen to it (Starkill from Galactic Conquest still show up).

Description
A comic I made to put on a "comic social network" called Comicspace, back in the day. I failed to update it past 4 pages, then the site went wierd, then vanished. Anyway, the future Romans are (in 2006, which to them is like our 3806) testing out a new teleport, and accidentally "swap" a soldier with two chavs in thier Vauxhall Nova, from "the real world".
