- - TEKEDUF A "Hot Jupiter", the most massive planet in the system, having the mass of three Jupiters. This planet orbits the star at a distance of about a third of the way between Mercury and Venus in the Solar System. It's superheated atmosphere and powerful magnetic field wreck all but the toughest robotic mining vessels. Luckily, the solar wind from the star is causing great volumes of the planet's atmosphere to outgas into space. It is this that is collected by mining ships, which go into an independent orbit, keeping the planet between them and the star.

Vulcan Named for a once-suspected planet XXXX. This is a Mars-sized, barren rocky world which has long since had it's atmosphere blasted away. Mighty tidal forces create frequent volcanoes, which erupt magma into the cold vacuum to rapidly cool. Some powerful volcanoes eject material into orbit, giving this moon a modest ring of rocks.

- - MACU A Saturn-like world rich in Helium-XXX. It has a large ring system, thought to be made up of heavier dusty particles which where blown out of Tekeduf. This was the planet, discovered by the occlusion method, and then by spectroscopy, which first created a "gold rush" for this system in 2002. The nearest planet with an intelligent civilisation, Thailithia, had not yet developed faster-than-light travel, but the Galactic Government ensured they got their share when they joined the intergalactic community.
	Bon A dusty, barren moon with some vulcanism, not unlike Io in the Solar System.
	Arubo A "warm Titan", the size of Venus, with a thick, methane atmosphere. This creates crushing pressure, like on Venus, but below this are oceans of warm, liquid water. Marine life lives in this ocean, and robotic probes have studied it. There were thoughts to try terraforming this world, but it was considered easier to build stations. Much of the ecnomony of the system comes from corporate investment, and profit comes first!
	Isu A barren, rocky moon. This has some surface bases, from which "heavy" mining is carried out - for metal ores and fuel for fission reactors. The size of Earth's moon, these bases have gravity plating set to a more comfortable 0.7g. The miners here have a tight-knit community, consider themselves "the heavies" and have a disparaging attitude towards the "gassers", who make up the majority of the rest of the system's population.

- - OYOT A Super-Earth with the mass of five Earths. It has a thin, whispy atmosphere, thought to be the result of millions of years of outgassing from Tekeduf. It also has a modest ring system. The strong gravity on the surface precludes settlement, a base would need anti-gravity panels in it's ceiling, and a power cut would be disastrous. Robotic mining machines harvest ores and useful isotopes from the dust on the surface, and fire capsules up to orbiting stations. The Star Disc also orbits this world, but quite far out.
	Iknoza A barren, rocky moon like that of Earth. Similar make-up to the planet itself, with an even-more tenuous atmosphere. There are old surface bases here, and some surface mining, as on the main planet. The modest surface mining is mostly to provide fuel and materials to power the mining operations on the planet proper, it is the product of these that is sold. Deeper metal and ore mining continues on a modest scale, but most of the installations here are the offices of the Hydrosk Corporation, which administers the mining. The miners consider themselves "heavies", but the other heavies joke that all they do is "play videogames"; directing robotic mining machines.
	Star Disc Orbiting Oyot opposite Iknoza, this large and ambitious space station was constructed by the Galactic Government, with matched contributions from the various corporations who work the system. It is the "capital" of the system, and houses the Galactic Government's offices (in the beginning, they rotated between various corportate stations every month, so as not to show favouritism, but this was an awkward and inefficient process). Being somewhat "neutral ground", the various corporations maintain offices here, as "embassies" of sorts, where disputes on claims and the like can be arbitrated. Actually the system has vast resources, so the corportations could hardly tread on each other's toes, or claim-jump, even if they wanted to. At the present rate of mining, it would still last longer than the universe itself is expected to. All of this has made the Star Disc rather pointless, and resting crews tend to stay aboard their own corportation's stations. Aside from the transient population of crewmembers and miners who are between jobs, the Star Disc is actually largely empty and unused.

- - PLANET 2 The other Saturn-like planet. Colder and easier to mine. Several moons with "heavies". Largest moon a hellish venus-like world which is also inside the van allen belts.

	Hopetto About twice the size of Earth's moon, with a tenuous, thin atmosphere. Some bases have been built here, with paved roads between them. It was the site of some early settlement in the system. Nowadays it's home to some scientific bases. The scientists generally keep out of the way of the busy miners.

- - I'Harmi Another super-Earth. This one has seven times the mass of Earth, but only the barest trace of atmosphere, it's basically dust and craters, exposed to space. The cost of lifting anything mined here into space would be too great, so it's largely left alone, other than "heavy" mining on it's three moons. There was talk of putting the Star Disc in orbit around this planet, but it was considered better to have it between the "saturns", in-system where the action is.

- - PLANET 2 Neptune-like Ice Giant, little Helium-XXX, but other gases are mined on a smaller scale. Rocky rings thought to be the remains of a moon that got too close. Several large moons and many small ones, captured from asteroids and comets. Very far out, as if a planet is "missing". Another super-earth, on an eccentric orbit around a small red star, is thought to have been "stolen" from the system millions of years ago.
