General Info: |
The Final model of the Cortina, it was really only a slightly-modified Mk IV, and was initially known as the "Cortina 80". Lots were bought by fleet buyers for use as company cars. "Civilians" still bought them in large numbers, but they looked dated next to new, liftback and FWD competition like the Vauxhall Cavalier. After a fairly short life, the Mk V Cortina was replaced by the Mk I Sierra In Felney Software driving games, it is called a Courtier |

Variants: |
Gun Fight - The baddies in this strip appear to be driving one at the start. Felney - Mike has a very rusty, dented one kicking about (not yet seen in the strip, but it's in a scripted, undrawn one!) Sexton Blake - In 1984, George Coutts, of the Craille Institute, owns a 1983-registered one (a lot of them sat around in dealers after production ceased, waiting to be sold). Presumably it's a 2.3-litre Crusader, the top-of-the-range run out model. |
