Right, it's now a great many months later, so I don't actually remember much about this. Other than it absolutely pissed it down.
OK, cameras never actually capture the drops themselves very well
It was my first time coming to the Konohana Hall, on the wild, mysterious lands at the other side of the Osaka Loop Line, where boarding the wrong train might see you in Nara before you know it (rather than, say, looping around Osaka). So I got a nice dousing just walking down the street looking out for the place.
When I got inside it was in one of the small, "local council cum-conference facilties" dotted about Japanese cities, of the kind I've attended many an ALT training session at. I couldn't even find the actual con, first of all. There were some people sat about in the lobby with loads of papers on tables, I thought that couldn't possibly be the actual event. So I continued following signs and found it's actually on the third floor!
