Jane is the young daughter of Kate and Stanley Thristwaite. In Classic Felney, she could be seen contradicting / ridiculing her mum's far-right pronouncements. She would also ask awkward questions of her racist and homophobic teachers.

In Fiasco, which begins in 2012, she is another student in Pete Chiu's flat, in the first year. After university, she went on a working holiday in Japan, winding up in a suburb-of-a-suburb east of Tokyo, called Tabakushō.

As Kate in Felney was originally based on the typical person where I live, I needed a 'stand in' character for me to ridicule the statements she made. Now I'm further right than the lot of them put together.

Little Known Fact:

She knows more about the world than she's letting on, and her "innocent questions", to tie teachers in knots, are actually carefully planned. Department of no surprise.
