This is the universe of my The Serpent story, a basic-styled superhero strip I started as a means of harking back to British comics of the 40's, Japanese comics of the 50's and American comics of the 60's. Some of the villains in this comic will have magic powers, but it's mostly going to be "street level" heroism and super-science. The Serpent also exists in the Theta Universe, but in those stories he'll be a team member and kind of a minor player in superheroics. In these stories he'll be one of the world's only superheroes. |

|
Description |
My own version of Captain Justice, from Modern Boy and later The Boys' Friend Library... only a bit more down to earth! Also they won't be tangling with "central European countries" and "eastern republics", but Germans and Russians! |

Status |
In progress |
|
Location |
To be in an issue of The Trident. |
|
Misc Note |
It'll get a bit more silly and Captain Justice-like as it goes on... but no hovering cities in the Atlantic (just modest secret islands in the Pacific), and no more than a couple of undersea caves infested with giant insects. |

A few pages made. I want to upload them 10 at a time |

Location |
To be put on |

Misc Note |
I originally wanted to create two pages of this per day, until I had a total of 800, put half of them online and then release the whole lot in one huge brick of a book. That fell through pretty quick. |

Description |
Created to "serialise" over various worksheets at the junior high school I was working at over 2021-22. I taught grades 1 and 2, giving me a captive audience of approx 446 kids, thus making it the most popular and widely-read thing I've ever made! (well until St. Jude's "B" Team, which was seen by 825 kids... and a few teachers too) "Series 1" was going to have The Serpent fighting against a Yakuza, who steals an experimental mecha suit which is supposed to be used to rescue people from earthquakes. One of the teachers told me I couldn't put fighting in it, so I changed it to "series 2", about tracking down and recovering a stolen Bunraku puppet. The story is extremely simple and the dialogue written as very basic sentences. |

On worksheets in the folders of kids who went to that school. Naah, it'll be in the first RWB annual, too. |
|
Misc Note |
Most popular and widely-read thing I've ever made... except for one Youtube video I made, which happened to have the word "porn" in the title. That got thousands of views! |

A 36-page "US style" comic I might make. By "US style" I do of course mean "like War Picture Library, but with fewer, bigger pages and world-building in between the chapters". |

32 pages because I saw B5, 32-pocket folders in a 100 yen shop once, and thought they'd be handy for archiving complete issues of... something. Only they can, of course, take 64 pages back-to-back. |
